“Dear International Friends, we are working on getting you all back in, but international licensing is tricky. Hopefully in a few months!”

While it may not be the best possible news, it is great to hear directly from tt.fm that they are still working on it. Slightly more frequent communication on this (in my opinion, their biggest overall ‘issue’ right now) topic can only be a good thing.

A valuable, thoughtful investigation into Turntable.fm’s legal status as a music service. Written by someone with an IP law background, the post explains “interactive service”, reproduction/distribution (uploading music and playing to others), why downloading songs isn’t, and probably will never be, allowed.
